With this project, I tried to get as close to imitating a 2D illustration as possible, while still mostly maintaining features of the 3D environment in Unity. Had a lot of fun doing very simple yet effective shading with some 3D noise, plus a final touch by inlaying outlines.
Also, I imagined what a style like this would look and feel like animated (and even how Night in the Woods'd look like in 3D!). I know, a bass guitar is not really played like this, but I was more leaning on the in-game animation style here. :)
